Another Embu School Closed indefinitely
Property worth millions of shillings has been destroyed following the recent upsurge in fire incidences in secondary schools in Kenya Embu not being left behind. Various leader in Embu County have come out to condemn the incidences, Speaking yesterday in St Thomas Moore Nguviu Boys high school in Embu Manyatta constituency Mp, Hon John Muchiri condemned the incident where two Dormitories were burnt down.
This being the worst incident to have happened in the institution, He called for the involvement of religious leaders in trying to curb the vice that has been widespread throughout the country. Various stakeholder meetings within the counties and in the ministry are being held in a bid to come up with a long-lasting solution to the problem some of which include; closing down of all boarding schools as a measure, better parenting, installation of CCTV cameras in the institutions among others.
3 Form 2 students have been arrested and are being held at Manyatta Police Station awaiting further investigation into the incident. The school has since been closed indefinite.
